Hola, I'm Frances! ππ«
I'm a Senior Software Engineer at Slack, a fierce advocate for diversity in tech, and a doting Corgi mom. π©π½βπ»
I hold a Bachelor's in Computer Science from Hampton University and a Master's in Computer Science from Cornell Tech. I've been working full-time as a software engineer since 2017, specializing in frontend engineering with React and TypeScript.
I'm currently on Slack's DevXP pillar, focused on AI adoption and developer productivity, building agentic workflows and tooling that help engineers move faster with AI.
Outside work, I've spoken at 100+ events and logged 250+ hours mentoring engineers through technical and behavioral interview prep. π
I am based in the San Francisco Bay Area with my two Corgis, Luna and SueΓ±o. πΎ
I was born and raised in Norfolk, Virginia, and I identify as Peruvian-American. π΅πͺ
I am passionate about making technical leadership more accessible, especially for Latinas and underrepresented engineers. π
My personal site is self-hosted on Vercel β built with Next.js 16, Tailwind CSS 4, MDX, and Pagefind search.
I've enjoyed having my work published through GitHub's ReadME project.
